The brand Carnalentejana D.O.P. (Protected Designation of Origin) is a result of the effort made by farmers in the preservation of Alentejo’s cattle breed.

The goal is to present the brand’s website as a certified and reliable producer, which is simultaneously close with the final consumer.

The old website was dated compared to the standards applied online these days. None of the pages were compatible with mobile devices and the website was not responsive.

Apart from making it mobile friendly, Portugal Multimedia re-designed the website Carnalentejana, re-structuring and optimizing the existing content.

COLOR SCHEME

Carnalentejana D.O.P. is a brand that stands for tradition and quality. Their online presence must transmit these values effectively.

The color scheme was chosen  based on fundamental aspects of the website redesign. Starting with the brand image that supports the identity of Carnalentejana D.O.P., we wanted to add the colors of earth, wine and the characteristic dry green of the Alentejo region.

“CHOOSE THE BEST MEAT”

 

To assist consumers in choosing the best meat, and to know the anatomy of a cow, we have developed an element that allows user interaction.

 

In this picture you can select a piece of beef and know its name and category.

 

In addition, a suggestion is given about the best way of cooking that piece (roasting, boiling, stew / stewing and grilling), as well as a hint of a specific recipe.
